SIP
(Session Initiation Protocol)
SIP is a signaling protocol used for initiating, maintaining, managing, and terminating real-time sessions that involve video, voice, messaging, and other communications applications and services between two or more endpoints on IP networks. It is widely used for controlling communication sessions such as voice and video calls over Internet Protocol (IP). SIP essentially establishes the rules for how messages are sent and received, and how the participants in a session are identified.
Flexibility in Communication
SIP technology enables users to initiate and terminate multimedia sessions such as voice, video, and messaging, making it highly versatile for modern communication needs.
Scalability
As your business grows, SIP can easily scale up to accommodate more lines, making it a future-proof investment.
Cost-Effectiveness
It typically reduces the cost of communication by using IP networks instead of traditional phone lines.
Compatibility and Integratio
SIP can work with various communication devices and software, allowing for seamless integration with existing IT infrastructure and applications.
PBX
(Private Branch Exchange)
A PBX is a private telephone network used within a company or organization. The users of the PBX phone system can communicate internally (within their company) and externally (with the outside world), using different communication channels like Voice over IP, ISDN, or analog. A PBX also allows you to have more phones than physical phone lines (PTSN) and allows free calls between users. It provides features like transfer calls, voicemail, call recording, interactive voice menus (IVRs), and call queues.
Centralized Control
A PBX system centralizes the management of telephone communications within an organization, simplifying processes like call routing, conferencing, and queue management.
Internal Communication
PBX systems facilitate easy and cost-free internal calling within an organization, improving inter-departmental connectivity.
External Connectivity
They provide a single point of contact for the outside world to connect with any department or individual within the organization.
Feature-Rich
Modern PBX systems offer a multitude of features such as voicemail, call recording, and interactive voice response, which can significantly enhance business communication.
VoIP
(Voice over Internet Protocol)
VoIP is a technology that allows you to make voice calls using a broadband Internet connection instead of a regular (or analog) phone line. Some VoIP services may only allow you to call other people using the same service, but others may allow you to call anyone who has a telephone number – including local, long distance, mobile, and international numbers. VoIP services convert your voice into a digital signal that travels over the Internet. If you are calling a regular phone number, the signal is converted to a regular telephone signal before it reaches the destination.
Cost Savings
VoIP can significantly reduce costs by using the internet for call transmission instead of traditional telephone lines, particularly for long-distance and international calls.
Portability
VoIP users can make and receive calls from anywhere with an internet connection, providing flexibility for remote work and global business operations.
Advanced Features
Many VoIP services offer advanced call features like call forwarding, call waiting, voicemail to email transcription, and more.
High-Quality Sound
With a proper setup, VoIP can deliver high-definition audio quality, surpassing traditional phone lines.
